ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Perform For Sport offers a comprehensive strength and conditioning programme to help young athletes become the best possible versions of themselves. We teach aspiring young sports people to grow, learn and build their overall athleticism to help with maximising their performance and reduce the risk of injury.

Our programme focuses on safe and effective training with expert coaching throughout ensuring correct progress is always made. Perform For Sport’s strength and conditioning coaching team has vast experience of working with adolescents in a variety of sports.

Perform For Sport recognises that when a junior athlete begins to reach adolescence the demands of sport begin to increase. Growing and changing bodies can become susceptible to injury and as a young athlete progresses in their chosen sport the demand of training and the need for improvements becomes greater. This is why starting a correct athletic development and strength and conditioning programme is key for a young athlete to not only build strength and resilience, but also understand how to manage their sporting commitments and demands.

WHY YOU SHOULD TRAIN WITH US:

We aim to help young athletes develop athletically in a variety of ways exposing them to controlled physical demands that relate specifically to their sport and them as an athlete. This can give them the best opportunity to succeed long term.

1. Movement & Co-ordination

2. Strength & Injury Prevention

3. Plyometrics & Force Production

4. Speed & Agility

5. Performance Testing

It is important that young athletes are not seen as ‘mini-adults’, and while many of the training qualities are similar to that of older athletes the coaching team at Perform For Sport recognise that a long-term athletic development model is needed to help young athletes reach sporting success.
